Food was good for swabian standards alltough a lot of food is just made of pre-cooked, frozen food. Juice and fresh beverages are served from PET bottles. They actually don't serve the Coke from a normal bottle. The waiters are in a...hurry and don't really have time neither to talk nor to properly serve. They just ask you what you want, they don't memorize (write down) who ordered what and come with the food and literally yell at you who ordered the one or the other. Payment is again a nightmare. Acually they don't take Credit Cards. Allthough at the entrance there is a sign with VISA and Mastercard .. actually they only accept the german EC Card or if the sum is too low not even the EC Card but discretionary how the hurried up waiter thinks. All in all an experience not worth the century. Especially not in an restaurant that claims to be a leading restaurant.

In the heart of Echterdingen off the main road. Great staff and English menu if you need it. Traditional German food. Very limited but enough choices on the menu. We each had a main and (don’t remember the names). Both very rich and...delicious. See pictures below. You can sit out or in. Recommend a reservation.

The location is really beautiful, in an old Fachwerkhaus (the typical wooden German houses). Unfortunately, the food was not as good as expected, with poor tasting (all had the same taste.. Also, one weitress only made the service dramatically slow, even if she tried to...do her best.

Excellent meals, reasonably priced....Swabian specialities, good beer and healthy portions....what more could you ask for? We walked up from the Holiday Inn so didn't have to worry about looking for parking...well worth visiting and enjoying the gemutlichkeit!

Very nice compact restaurant with a typical German atmosphere and wonderful local Swabian food. It was busy but they still managed to find us a spot without a reservation.
