The new owner doesn’t feel the need to reply to constructive criticism of their takeaway service, so hence why I’m reiterating it on here. We spent on meals, the samosas were really spicy which isn’t a big deal, that’s what raita is for!...However, what was a big problem was one of the “mild” mains were extra extra spicy, as an Indian myself I know when something says it’s mild that it shouldn’t be too spicy to eat! The other main was just not what I ordered, I always have the same dish from Indians but never had one like that. However, the manager or owner (whoever gets the reviews through their ordering system) couldn’t be bothered to follow my complaint up with anything. He just acted like he knew better or whatever his excuse was. Over the last few years we have spent hundreds with this company! If he treats everyone like this, Saffron won’t last long. The previous owners were heads and shoulders above these in customer service, cooking dishes to their own specifications (e.g if its mild, they used to cook it as a mild and quality too. Shame. We’re never spending another penny with Saffron now... thankfully Ely is not short of takeaways!!!
