The former Sa Capella Restaurant, the original so to speak was one of our favorite places on the island. The restaurant always offered us an unforgettable evening, not least because of the beautiful location, but also because of the atmosphere, a real nostalgic restaurant where you could get good food without constraint. When we heard that there would be a reopening and that the restaurant was sold, we did not suspect anything good. However, we wanted to get a new impression in person. What can I say... this place has now lost authenticity as well. At the reception, hostesses are already waiting, whose only task is to accompany someone to the table with a grin. Of the prices I do not need to report, for those who already know the Mambo Group, know that you’re asked to pay 10€ for a bread basket or almost 10€ for a tap water. The menu, very simple and can’t in NO WAY be compared to the former offer. There were about 15 waiters in the restaurant, which created a very hectic atmosphere. Welcome to the new the place to be and probably soon Instagram hotspot. We said goodbye to this restaurant yesterday.

What a beautiful exquisite chapel converted with such care and attention and sensitivity to the Ibiza architecture and heritage. The whole place has extraordinary energy and beauty. The waiters and kitchen crew are friendly and excellent. The menu bodes well in writing but the culinary standards need to be raised. “Vegetables from the garden” has to mean vegetable from a local homegrown style garden. No salad from a bag or sweetcorn from a tin. This restaurant specialises in meat and fish. There are no vegetarian main course options .. which is a shame is a modern new launch restaurant the world is moving more and more plant based. More spices, tasty flavours and experimental cooking is needed the food is a let down which is a crime in a sublime setting like Sa Capella.

Knowing the old Sa Capella as well, Mambo Group did a great job. The climatization is very agreeable and very well done since barely visible an no draught at all. The food we had was excellent (grilled squid for starters and and a sole as main) and the service very attentive without being obtrusive. It is not a pleasure for every day but definitely worth being considered for special occasions. The pricing is ok as long as the service is maintained at this high level.

Very fine place, amazing setting, great soft music, honest food Just a pity about being served by the romanian waiter who lacks all “finesse” to work in this fine restaurant…. He even asks for a tip when coming with the bill… this is not the way we are usely threated in ibiza So we didn’t enjoy the place to the fullest…
