Current situation July/August 2021: The ROTHÖHE is located above Burgdorf and has an interesting window front in the dining room as well as a beautiful terrace that offers both sunny and shady places with a view over the Emmental. The service appears competent, open, talkative and extremely friendly and attentive. The boss 's handwriting with her savoir faire can be felt here. The food and especially the extremely fine salad dressing are fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. The change requires enormous care and that not only costs time, but also money and substance. There was certainly enough time during the lockdown, but money and substance were probably not just enough to survive here and understanding this requires sensitivity, knowledge of the matter and, above all, understanding of the situation of innkeepers. If you 're fighting for survival, you have to set priorities, and at a time like this, they 're unlikely to lie in tending the garden. However, it is noticeable that there are several SAAB vehicles parked in the parking lot. Notabene without number and because it is standing outdoors, it is also rotting. It 's nice if these vehicles are fun for someone, but they would be nicer to drive and parking them here and letting them rot is probably the wrong approach. Hence the deducted star in the rating. Nevertheless, I will happily visit ROTHÖHE again because of the above-mentioned view, the quick service and the fine food.

Despite not too many guests and 3 serving daughters...we left after 20 minutes. I find it almost disgraceful when you, as a guest, are simply ignored for so long. Thank you, I'm served.
