Roots - Reservar uma mesa

You are not welcome in this restaurant. I wanted to go drinking with a few colleagues on Tuesday. The restaurant had about 2 tables occupied. I sat down at an empty table and the waitress said if I didn't eat anything I would have to get up and it would still be free to go to the lounge. I sit down and she calls that the lounge is occupied. I was annoyed now. After about 3 seconds when I didn't get up straight she tells me the same thing again. And said I should go to the bar. Yes, sure, I'll sit at the bar now where it was full. So I went out and went to the Grill restaurant with my colleague. Warm welcome, ate there. Apparently Restaurant Roots doesn't need to serve customers in a friendly manner.

We went to Roots for dinner and were unfortunately disappointed. After about an hour the food arrived and the burger bread was rubbery! For CHF 29. a complete no go for a burger! The highlight, however, was the waitress, who was quite unfriendly and kept helping herself in the kitchen while she was working and then serving the guests at the bar while chewing and walking around the restaurant. The sprayed lips contributed to a rather unattractive picture. It's a shame, the restaurant would actually be in a good location and coolly decorated.

We felt very uncomfortable. Café is more of a smoking place. Ashtray at table not emptied. Pillows very dirty and some with burn holes from cigarettes! Unfortunately there wasn't even a cappuccino. (Just peel, and it really didn't taste good). Service extremely unfriendly and payment with card only possible on 20fr. Shouldn't be the case these days either. When we said we didn't have any cash with us, the waiter just ran away without saying a word... he somehow didn't care what we did next...

The various seating options are great and, depending on your needs, you can have a quick coffee at the bar table or spend the whole evening comfortably in a seating lounge.

Totally my thing...food very, very good. Ambience also very modern.
