Ronin Farm - Reservar uma mesa

We chose this restaurant because we knew that the ambiance would be incredible- and it was! The food 's flavor and presentation was also absolutely incredible too. The outdoor patio was beautiful and the wildflowers on our table were a beautiful touch. The issue I had with the Ronin was the portion size. My grandmother ordered the sweet potato- expecting to receive a full sweet potato for her meal, and she received three quarter inch slices of sweet potato on a bed of blanched vegetables for $22... She is not a very big eater either but for the menu to be labeled 'hearty fare ' it was a little disheartening when we had to get a snack on the way home to avoid paying over $100 on a meal for three. Again, the flavor, the ambiance, the decor, it was incredible, but it felt like highway robbery to pay so much for not even an eighth of a sweet potato.

This was our third time to Ronin. The first two times were great. This trip was not as good we were celebrating my daughters birthday and if we had known we would have gone elsewhere. I think it all was due to the fact that they were severely understaffed. The server could not be attentive because he was spread way too thin. It took so long to get our drinks and they did not come out all at once. Everything seemed to come out in piecemeal they were really struggling to keep up. It kind of put a damper on what should have been a high end experience. The three people who were working the front were doing the very best that they could, it’s not their fault at all. The owners need to either ensure adequate staffing or limit their reservations to ensure all diners have a good experience.

Holy cow, that was a good salad! Ronin's seasonal cucumber salad had the perfect mix of flavors and textures, I don't know how that might have been better. Friendly people, wonderful food, pleasant ambience, such a high quality place would recommend everyone!
