Restaurant Lurleen's

We had booked into A Day on the Green at Sirromet Winery and decided to book into Lurleen's restaurant for lunch prior. We had dined there a few years ago and remembered thoroughly enjoying the experience. We were on the veranda which had a lovely casual ambiance and view, while we could see inside was a more formal setting which also looked lovely, The architecture and interior design is vast and impressive. The service was very attentive and a great selection of wines was available including there own label which can be excellent. We browsed the extensive menu which was full of fabulous sounding delights and finally made our choices. Every dish that arrived at our table was sensational; every bite commented on and enjoyed. Generous portions, top quality ingredients and I would suggest a Chef very attuned to surpass guests expectations. I see a few negative review of this restaurant but my guests and I could not fault it. Well done Sirromet and thanks for a fabulous day.

Our waitress was clearly inexperienced which didn't get us off to a great start and as we all know first impressions count.As for the food entrees presented with scallops that weer not translucent and the accompanying pork belly was under cooked. This thankfully was the only criticism on the food, but when you are in this price bracket this is simply not acceptable.The wine we ordered was brought out and placed close by whilst she attended to another table then brought it over 10 mins later. We then had to ask for a top up most times until we got sick of it and poured ourselves. She then snapped into action saying that she had to do it. Delivery of the message was not her strong point.The steaks we ordered were cooked superbly and the kids meals got polished off super fast and with big grins.At this price point everything should be spot on, simply not good enough

We don't get to Brisbane often, but when we do, breakfast at Lurleen's is a must! Always an amazing place to go hang out after a lovely breakfast of Eggs Benedict...on a beautiful day. Wine tasting is nice. Beautiful location, good service...prices (for breakfast) are reasonable. We'll be back!

My husband and I have made our lunch at Lurleen's our wedding anniversary tradition. We love the food, we are always made to feel so very special by the staff and we go home every year more in love. Thank you Lurleen's xxx

This is a great place to go for special occasions. Great food and service with a lovely outlook over the bush.
