' Discovered that our favoured restaurant is now closed and lunchtime would be a struggle on Jour des Meres, so went for this one which we remember from long ago. We successfully booked a table online, but were a bit disconcerted to discover there was only the special three course menu available which was rather more substantial than we wanted and obviously meant we would not get some dishes we were coveting! It was however a decent price for what was on offer. All was very nicely presented, fresh (as one starter was a ceviche of hake that was important , and skilfully prepared. We both had the gambas as a main. These were perfect, the sauce tasty and the mix of crunchy veg ideal as an accompaniment, but the crushed potato seemed less appropriate and a bit dominating, The three desserts also seemed to offer too little variation. (All chocolate and creamy! Nice though! The wine list is good and the 500ml bottles a good compromise. Service was very attentive for a busy session. We went away happy!
