Restaurant La Grotte Hotel Blumental Murren

We had good food here. But the service wasn't great. It wasn't a busy night and the service just started. The waitress came and wanted to take the order. We didn't want to finish our apero and order it. But we... chased her if she could make a picture of us. She hesitated and didn't say now, she'll follow it. She said she had to take other orders first. Okay, we could do the picture later, but it takes 5 seconds to make a picture. And if she had our order this time, she would have taken much longer. There was also only another table where she had to take the order. We found their reaction very rude. After she realized that she was doing something wrong and always said, "I will follow the picture, I didn't forget it." But we refused. Despite this image history, the two waiters always came and asked the question the first waiter had just asked 1 minute before. They should separate their tables. It's annoying to repeat the same.

Booking a day for this restaurant. At 8 a.m. when they asked us to come (not our desired time) and they told us that the kitchen was closed. No excuse, nothing. Great service!!! From what I could see... occupied in the tables, the food looked quite average anyway so easy to avoid You this place many other great options in the village.

My wife, son, daughter, friends and I ate dinner here in December 2019. Before coming here, we walked around the town of Murren which was covered by snow. I had vegetable soup and spinach and ricotta crepes. My wife had lasagna and the others also...enjoyed their food. The food was excellent and the service was very good.

After hiking 10 miles.... this will build you for the next hike. Hotel Blumental has not lost its Stuebli charm, like so many of the other restaurants... which are too modern and plastic... like Staeger Stuebli once a beautiful welcoming... comfortable place....now very indifferent .

We wanted to visit this place, but it seems closed. We checked at 12 noon and at 6:30 in the hotel. No sign of anyone everywhere.
