Restaurant Haus im Turm

Disappointing visit! I have to report our last visit since our previous reviews seem to be obsolete with the change of management?We liked in previous visits the location, the friendly service, the wine and the food. The first three parameters have not changed, i.e. the place, friendly service and good wine.We were disappointed with the food. I ordered trout that was served over a bed of fresh asparagus and potatoes The “bed” was not particularly large, but the trout was a small filet square of about 8 cm side! probably less than a quarter of a medium sized trout. The preparation was straightforward, pan fried . Trout fried OK but the small potatoes rather hard. The price for this small portion was 24€50. This is a main dish, not a fancy appetiser! Also ordered a veal carpaccio that thinly covered the bottom of the plate but it was not bad.For us the visit was rather a rip off for small and not particularly good dishes.Unfortunately I will remove this restaurant from my list of favourites!

In my opinion, this is THE place in Rhöndorf for a nice dinner. The setting, the service, the food, everything was just perfect. I had a caesar salad as a starter and then fish as a main. It was the best caesar I'd had in Germany since moving here in 2005 and the fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned, but it went beyond that. Every component of the dish was thought through without being overthought, and simply succulent. Portion size was very good (a bit too much for me but perfect for my husband). Even the butter that was served to accompany the bread was amazing! Service was attentive and discreet, and all in all we had an absolutely perfect evening. I highly recommend Haus in Turm and am already looking forward to our next visit!

Nach dem Pächter Wechsel verbrachten wir gestern einen herrlichen Abend auf der Terrasse.Sehr höflicher, zuvorkommender Empfang.Der Service war excellence , man beachte, trotz einer größeren geschlossenen Gesellschaft !!Auf dem Weg zu den erfrischungsräumen, hat man Durchblick in die "gläserne Küche.Wir aßen sehr lecker, mit gepflegten Getränken.Wir werden es wohl häufiger besuchen und geben hiermit eine Empfehlung aus!!

Ein große Bereicherung für Bad Honnef und Rhöndorf. Absolut einzigartig.Tolles Ambiente, phantastische Speisen, großartiger Garten. Getoppt wird das alles noch von der sensationellen Bar. Das Team vom Haus im Turm wird all diesem mit einer unschlagbaren Freundlichkeit gerecht. Wer hier einmal war kommt immer wieder. Zusammen mit dem angrenzenden Weinladen eine Idylle in Rhöndorf.

Sehr feines stilvolles ambiente,schöne deko, freundlich, preis-leistung sehr gut. Zwar etwas versteckt , aber dafür sehr ruhig.
