Restaurant Burg Klopp

Gluten-free and vegetarians have limited choice on the menu, but will be catered to at the kitchen's best effort. We ended up with 3 excellent dishes and truly enjoyed the extra care.As it was a very cold week, the terrace was closed, but inside it was stylish en decorated with taste. The setting is rather quiet, so unless the terrace is open, I don't recommend coming with toddlers who want to run around. The dishes were each excellent qua presentation, taste and quantity. The staff was very friendly, and the service was perfect.The prices are as to be expected at a higher standard setting and kitchen.Our only minus was that we felt a bit under-dressed, in our hiking boots and fleece cardigans... However, this was in no way reflected by the service and care we received.

This restaurant is a relative newcomer to Bingen. It is located in a castle-like building high above the township, with magnificent views from the belvedere. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the fittings and set-up are first class. The menu is classical with German and other Western choices and there is an excellent wine list. Overall the cost per person is very attractive. The restaurant is quite easily accessed from the township by a set of stairs, 10-minute walk, or can be reached by car

Dinner for 8 colleagues sitting on the terrace in August - absolutely lovely. The views are spectacular and the setting at the old castle is lovely. I can't comment on the indoor restaurant but we really enjoyed the terrace.The service was good and the food enjoyable. I had a goat cheese salad starter and prawns with risotto for the main. The risotto was too creamy for my taste but the prawns were delicious.I've had many so-so meals in Bingen but this was much better than most.

The Restaurant Burg Klopp is part of Kind of a Castle with a fantastic view from above the City over the Rhine Valley. In the summer you can eat outside on the terrace. The Food is classic but very good and the Service is friendly. We had lunch inside and we liked the table Setting as well and will certainly go back. Price is absolutely reasonable for the Quality you get

The Rhine area is more known for its wine-music-ambience restaurants than for fine dining. Klopp castle restaurant is an exception, it is more stylish and the kitchen is upscale. Enjoy seasonal specialties like venison and select from its wine offer.
