The server Joe was great, very polite, polished and attentive to us. The seafood was not good. Bay scallops smelled fishy and were as tough as pencil rubber erasers. No flavor and we even though it was imitation scallops that were hard pressed into little white rubber nuggets. The grilled shrimp were tough, chewy and tasteless. Now-everything that wasn't seafood was actually pretty good. The cheddar bay bisquits, caesar salad and Vodka pink lemonade were highlights. For a restaurant that serves SEAFOOD-it's main attraction is seafood-it was a major disappointment. The scallops were so overdone that the tops turned a hard brown/dried out yellow. The best part of that meal was the baked potato and side salad. Maybe the whole menu needs an overhaul and a fresh approach. The brick and mortar was old, dark and a bit musty. Booth bench and cushions were beat up and not cleaned. We had a gift card from a birthday present and have not eaten at a Red Lobster in probably over a decade. So we took a gamble . We won't be back. Dinner for 2, with a generous tip came to $50 and that was one entree with an alcoholic drink and one cod sandwich with fries and a water with lemon. The waiter was overworked and very nice and we never saw or heard of a manager checking the dining area.
