Rathauscafe Brandl

A typical Austrian café where you can sit for hours reading newspapers and magazines freely available whilst sipping on a Melange or a wide choice of other beverages - non-alcoholic and otherwise. Great vantage point for people watching on the main square and to catch up with friends. At night it turns into a hot spot for the local younger generation, so I prefer daytime. Lovely outside space in summer, to be enjoyed from early morning till well into the evening.

I don't know when I have been here the first time but it's definitely around years ago. I still like to come here whenever I'm in Gmunden. If you sit at the Windows you have a nice view and a good coffee. At least...you should visit it once

Perfectly located, with the picturesque Stadtplatz round the corner and the lakefront a few steps ahead, this café has all the prerequisites of a special place. However, the service is abysmally slow and hardly efficient. What a pity

We had the most amazing desserts and coffee here. The sidewalk cafe is right on the esplanade and perfect for relaxing and people watching
