Rancho Chico - Reservar uma mesa

This restaurant is a hidden gem. Set behind high hedges you could easily miss it. The roof top signage letting people know of its existence. Staying at the hotel opposite we were on lookout for somewhere to eat out away from the canteen set up that all hotels seem to have nowadays. Rancho Chico opens only in the evening but after scanning the menu board set into the hedge by the opening we decided to visit. We weren’t to be disappointed. We waited at the entrance to be seated and the setting of tables around an open courtyard provided a comfortable ambiance. The restaurant has a large bifold wall to its inside seating, these must be in case needed if weather was unkind for outdoor eating). My wife is a particularly fussy eater but the availability of freshly cooked garlic prawns were her choice, as for me I was left in a quandary, which of the available steaks to pick from. I finally decided on the Rib with an accompanying pepper and mushroom Rancho sauce. The prawns and steak came with a baked potato and salad. The steak on the rib filled the plate, it was huge. As non drinker’s we settled for a coke and water, but a good range of wines were available along with beers. Once we devoured our main course we plumped for a dessert from the menu, my wife having and Orange sorbet will I opted for a cheesecake. When my wife’s sorbet arrived it was accompanied by a bottle of what was to turn out to be and orange liqueur, the waiter explained that it was to christen the sorbet. A novel idea but one my wife passed on. The waiters possibly the owners going by other reviewers) we welcoming and gave feeling that nothing was too much bother to meet out needs. Price wise we were impressed by the value of the meal, I would say easily cheaper than an equivalent meal back hometown. No complaints about anything, table spacing meant we went crowded and the place filled up as we we’re having our meal without us noticing. Great little restaurant for a cosy comfortable meal. If we had came here earlier in our stay I think we would have returned for another crack at the choices on the menu, alas we are due to return to Scotland tomorrow, but the Rancho Chico with stay in our memories.

Perfekt outdoor garden with Nice tables and garden. Everyone enjoyed their meal; meat lovers, vegetarians and those living Sea food. Perfwct match with food and wine despite challanges. The service was given with all extra.

Outstanding service! Best restaurant we have been to in Alcúdia. Amazing food and nothing is too much trouble! Would recommend to anyone visiting.

Great setting hidden away but a must visit ,fantastic steaks and 1st class range of homemade sweets ,booking is a must
