Poco Loco - Reservar uma mesa

We found this restaurant totally by accident in a back street of San Antonio Puerto de la Cruz, it looked very tiny from the outside so were intrigued enough to go back to eat a few days later. It may look tiny on the outside, but inside was a revelation, it opened up to a beautiful colourful and welcoming restaurant. A waiter had to show us to the lower level that we had seen from the outside, where there were tables set up inside and out on the small terrace. We chose to just have a main meal each, a bottle of beer and a bottle of a very nice Tempranillo red wine which was a bargain price of €6.50. Followed by I dessert and a coffee. Our bill came to less than €35. The service was very friendly, we got our drinks and food in good time and the food was delicious. Although we have lived in Tenerife for 10+ years and in the north for a vear we had never heard of this restaurant before. It is an absolute little gem and we will most definitely be regulars from now on

Gutted, we dressed up nicely for a bit of a date night on our first trip to tenerife. The margarita was basically frozen lemon squash we added two tequila shots to try and liven it up), the food literally all tasted the same. In fact the food was just bland chicken or bland beef coated in soggy onions and served up with some cheese sauce and some red stuff no idea what it is). Nachos were bone dry with the same sauces think that cheap stuff you get at the cinema, but hardly any of it). We left early and paid what we owed, really gutted, really rubbish. That meal was full of misery and sadness.

After a long uphill walk, we arrived at the restaurant, to be greeted in a warm friendly manner. The drinks arrived quickly, with the normal healthy Spanish measure. After taking our orders, the food arrived quickly, was cooked to perfection, and the taste was delicious. Can not fault this restaurant. Authentic Mexican food, with excellent service and value for money. Probably take a taxi next time though, lots of uphill to get here

We ordered margharita (0,5l) for 5 euros, it tasted like strawberry slushie, there was barely any alcohol in it. We also had nachos, the chips were not much, from store its better. The sauces were not much either (not talking about the chilli which wasnt chilli at all). The next day we had stomach cramps and end up with diarrhea.

Awful food. Tasteless and covered with greasy cheese. Pls just buy a tortilla, take some cheese and put in your microwave instead. What a waste of an nice environment.
