A (very) small restaurant, dinner at Piccola Roma may end up being a regular event for us. The customer service was very good, our waiter seemed to just love his job. The timing of the meal was perfect, and the food, insanely good. The calf I had could have been cut with a spoon. Salad, very fresh, and when I asked for a different dressing, not a problem at all. PR is also where we order our pizza from. I don´t even normally like pizza, but theirs is very good! Prices are fair. It´s not cheap, but not expensive either. And for the quality of the food and service...very very fair. It´s super small, as mentioned, maybe 8 tables? So make a reservation.
I arrived tonight on a Tuesday night and tried to get a table outside and was told no as a single only inside seating available. So I went inside and was provided a menu but no one came back not even for a drink order...as I was ready for some wine after a hard work day. I waited another minutes and left! Too bad as I'm in N Bamberg for business per year and stay at least weeks per stay and work for a Bamberg based company close by so I will tell them too.
This is our 2nd trip to bamberg , and we have been to this restaurant 4 x times now.The menus is comprehensive with meat/fish pasta and pizza.Portions are generous , and the Gorgonzola sauce is excelent , extensive wine list , which matches the food perfectly.Head waiter speaks English, and is very keen to please , Great value for money too, and in the warmer months. The outside eating area is fantastic. Cant recomend this place highly enough
This place is small (only about 7 tables), so you must get a reservation early, but it is the best pizza that I have had in nearly 40 years. German pizza has a very thin crust and must be eaten with a knife and fork and this pizza's crust was almost matzoh like. I got a large pizza and a large beer and the bill came to about 13 Euros for such an excellent meal. Don't miss this place.
