"only in the case of the disappointment:- the kalbsbries was eclectic-suddy; the alleged summer truffles presented themselves as a small whistle of dry without taste. the Madeira sauce as a pampy bag sauce.- although well cooked cadry, which had nothing to do with its promised garnish " on the skin - that's why, despite the nice, endeavored service, an annoying price-performance ratio !"

I wanted to try the phoenix in the three-panel house for a long time and my birthday was then a beautiful occasion for it. first disappointment already at the entrance. the restaurant is in the ground floor! only the event rooms are on the 22nd floor, including the bar.... which is also only available for events. Sure...why also offer the restaurant guests a great look, run a cool roof-top bar, and can no longer save themselves from guests. would be too complicated.Nextly downer: what a stable ambiente? does good kitchen not go with a little more pepp in the service and less upgrading? well...then you're dining in front. I'm looking forward. we choose the 5-course menu for proud 88€ and we expect taste explosions. it wasn't all bad. but unfortunately tastefully totally inexorable and not especially original. the love of the chef for aspik and jelly can I not share definitiw. in the amuse-gueule, in the 1st floor and in dessert, glibriger geleé. Igitt...but okay, it's a taste. then there were some rough carvings: the fish...cooked with fish shed on the skin crust. quite right. I had it in my mouth because I thought it was salt-flakes. but no. it's just helping out. next fauxpas: the waiter pours our angus beef with chivas regal which he then tries to ignite in vain and, as already at the grace table before, becomes almost a slapstick number. the lighter just doesn't want to. instead of the effective flambia, unfortunately a flat number. so we eat it unflambiert. first bite ok, second bite and I just get on long. in my man quite similar. fat and long. honestly... don't go! that is also totally disappointing. what a limette parfait should be was simply a frozen cream, decorated with a lot of gelatin. really one of the worst desserts I had ever had in a supposedly good restaurant. And still something dear phoenix: to free the blinds from the dust layer would not hurt either. who makes you chic and noble, should not only pay attention to the obvious but to the details! So...my conclusion: unfortunately no restaurant I would recommend or visit again!

This review refers to an event offered and performed by the phoenix restaurant.Although I had some time ago a rather unsightly evening in the then haute cuisine "bel etage" of the phoenix (in the meantime the operation was stopped), I am still fascinated by the location of the three-panel house, as well as the interior architecture of the Phoenix restaurant below. as always: to the fireworks of the rheinkirmes, the operation to the sundowner party on the roof terrace (22th floor). The outsict over düsseldorf and the Rhine loop is simply an absolute ravine and only worth this location. Moreover, one has installed a real eye-catcher with one of the façade adjusted curved bar. the chilly sofas, as well as other tables and chairs, the lighting, and the revolving (very high) glazed armour round off the image and provide real metropolis flair. a shame that this terrace always does not offer regular operation. The entrance incl. 5-courses served as flying buffet as well as a limited selection of drinks cost this evening 95 eur, so the one-pressure also applies to the restaurant below: high-priced and partly covered.Surely, the calculus of a event with open bar is difficult, but disappointing was above all the amount of served walks, because every walk came only in a small portion dish, and it was not intended to access the courses were served relatiw chaotic. the sweet potato pomegranates to steak tartar came on one half of the terrace far too early, with us much too late. There was no sweet dessert gang. But: everything was very tasty and we liked it! Also the service at the bar was slightly overwhelmed (partly only 1 person behind the bar. so you can also control the expenditures for drinks...)What remains?A unique and spectacular location, a beautiful evening with fantastic sunset and fireworks, chilly music, great ambiente, a certain "exclusivity above the city". the service could have been better adjusted.

we were already a few paintings there, so also today. ok, you have to work a little by the construction sites that still characterize the düsseldorfer inner city. but the way is always worth it.It starts with the tasteful decor that just creates a beautiful atmosphere. the tables are white covered and the reception is always very friendly. In particular, the new chef cooks out of my sight clearly in the direction of a star.Today I had a marinated salmon with greener sauce and kartoffelstroh - simply delicious! a very individual taste of the green sauce, just in fine instead of original French. the whole composition very balanced, really great! afterwards came a calfsbries picata with potato foam and green bean seeds. kalbsbries is certainly a difficult dish in Germany, as we here, unlike in france, do not normally eat this. Therefore, it is also rarely offered, but since I love it, I usually order it when there is. this interpretation, the kalbsbries as piccata I had never done. the kalbsbries itself on the point perfect, the ice hull crispy, the supplements perfectly matched in the taste. To finish, after that we had asked in advance, we were allowed to go briefly into the 22nd stage and enjoy the round view over düsseldorf. Also, in every look a perfect lunch with great food and a wonderful service go!

at my visit to the phoenix in the three disc house with business friends, we had caught the day with the fireworks to the largest chirmes on the Rhine. next to the well-stocked restaurant operation in the ground floor restaurant, the kitchen and service team had a large event on the terrace in the 21 floor to manage. that was sure stress!Because everything was perfectly organized for us guests in the drain and in the taste. The kitchen showed neither delays in the course order, nor was there even a small weaken in the quality. everything was at the highest level! The service team in the restaurant was competent and relaxed as always. each member of the service team was polite and attentive. everything was discussed and wished were asked.I would like to thank the kitchen team and the service team for a wonderful evening with my business partners.
