Pfaffenboden - Reservar uma mesa

We frequent this restaurant more or less once every other month and always leave the place with great satisfaction. Although the location might look hard to reach it's actually quite central in terms of pure distance whichever direction you are coming from, Walchwil, Zugerberg or Aegeri valley, takes 20-25 minutes to reach through the very scenic little roads. Once you had your food, I'd recommend taking a walk in the clearly marked hiking/walking paths around. Great joy especially when the weather is good. This restaurant is open for breakfast through dinner for most days and serves typically Swiss food, very nicely done. But the highlight for us is always the breakfast, serves the tastebuds and your wallet at the same time. The set-menu breakfast consists of cold-cut meat selection, a cheese plate, home made Roesti with fried eggs, muesli, yogurt, jam, butter, a basket of bread, croissants, bottomless coffee and orange juice (hot chocolate for kids). All this for about 30 CHF per person! For those of you familiar with Switzerland, this is great value. Enjoy!

Good food and a great view! I wanted to take some friends to someplace special and Pfaffenboden was my choice having been there with my daughter from the USA in September. She was impressed, not only by the simple, but excellent food, but by the old country atmosphere and the beautiful and breath-taking view.

The people who run the place are nice, friendly and service is great. The view is amazing and the hike up the hill will make you hungry. The food is ok, typical Swiss style food. If you are looking for something healthy this probably isn't the stop for you. The same goes for my vegetarian friends out there.

Great service, very kids friendly (also have high chairs). Reservation for a table on the terrace very efficient via email, got a reply within the hour. Has a playground with 2 trampolines as well. Beautiful walking area on top

Beautiful location with great view. Excellent fondue. Traditional interior. Kompetente und sympathische Wirtin.
