Paradise Sushi And Hibachi

We had high hopes for this place and it certainly was busy but we were incredibly disappointed. We had a reservation but still waited quite a while for a seat at the habachi grill to open up and then it was in the back room back corner behind a column. Literally the only thing to stare at was the column which was incredibly claustrophobic. We thought it would be ok, but we had to wait for the rest of the seats at the table to fill and then another 45 minutes before the hibachi chef came over. During that time we weren’t offered service for drinks for at least 20 minutes and another 10 to get them. The dinner order was incredibly mixed up so the poor chef really struggled when he got to us, the food itself was tasty but even without alcoholic drinks was close to $200 for 2. We could hear a lot of activity from the rest of the restaurant and had we been sitting in the main room while we were waiting for dinner it might have been entertaining. But too long, too hot, couldn’t see anything else and expensive I doubt we’ll be back.

Our hibachi chef didn’t engage his customers like the other hibachi chefs were and didn’t even have the train flute… the calamari was extremely fishy as well leaving me to believe it was probably not stored properly… when I I was berated with questions as to why I didn’t eat my calamari, I was met with eye rolls and no offers to rectify the situation.

It was my daughters birthday and there was last minute plans. Paradise did a great job of accommodating our party of 14. Service was amazing, Alejandro is the best hibachi chef there, it was a personalized experience, and a very friendly atmosphere. Will definitely return for special occasions.

Food was fantastic and chef was amazing and friendly. Wanna go back now!
