Palacio Oriente

Firstly, I checked out the location of this restaurant off the main tourist square on the Saturday evening. Many tables were full; seemed a good atmosphere. My family and I decided to try it on the Sunday evening. It was quiet upon arrival around 8ish but a few tables arrived as the evening went on and a larger party as we were leaving. Service was very pleasant and on the whole the food was presentable well; very tasty. We had Spring Rolls for starters these were delicious, large! They were definitely fresh, as explained by the waiter, when we enquired about how many you got in a portion (it turns out you get one large one each). We ordered Chicken Chop Suey and the Fried Noodles with Chicken, also a side portion of egg fried rice and chips. All of this food was lovely and the side portions were easily enough for three people. The chicken dishes were extremely large we hated leaving some but it was impossible to finish. We couldn’t take it away due to staying in a hotel. On a side note, the beef curry was less to our taste due to the kebab texture of the meat. This was a shame but we all have our preferences and it wouldn’t put us off returning. Guests around us seemed to be enjoying various noodle dishes and the crispy duck with pancakes. I wouldn’t usually write a restaurant review but I did enjoy the food here. I noticed that they do not have many reviews, let alone good ones recently, unless there is a different forum. Oh and the background music was good too… always a winner!

Please don't go!!! Ordered two main dishes with two different rice sides all of which came out separately. Main of battered, fried king prawns came with no sauce, so asked for a sauce on the side, was told NO... Just a curry sauce then I replied,, once again the answer was NO... Eventually was given some sort of sauce (don't know what). Decided to cut our losses and asked for the bill, paid and left. Terrible experience from start to finish.. HOPE YOU DON'T HAVE THE MISFORTUNE OF DINING THERE.

Es con diferencia en sabor y calidad uno de los mejores que he probado... Visita obligatoria siempre que vaya por la zona. Gracias por hacer de vuestro trabajo un placer para nuestro paladar.

very nice food waitress friendly, in a nice position near the seafront, kept clean and takes visa which some places you had to spend 20EURO for them to take it but it didn't matter here

Not a bad place for Chinese food but not the best, although you are restricted for a Chinese meal in Pinada. They tend to rush you even though we were the only ones there.
