Stopped in Friday around lunch and it was just about to capacity. Food came out achingly slow at 25 minutes, but it was worth it. Friendly staff serve up two daily specials of reuban sandwiches, turkey rice soup, and potato salad. Kids had grilled ham and cheese as well as French toast with 4 pc bacon. Prices are low for the scratch food they make and it was all delicious. Baking their own bread really helped the meals and someone in the kitchen is a bit of a perfectionist, as I couldn't have asked for better. We tried all three desserts they scratch make on site and they were a bit. Similar food and feel to l'oven in west kelowna. What a diamond in the rough this place is and I highly recommend. Just be mindful of possible long ticket times.
Found this quaint coffee shop and this was my first time stopping here. Signed said open and outside temperature was -19c so wanting a coffee and food decided to try the Denver sandwich which was oh so YUMMY. Coffee was pretty darn good also and the lady filled my cup before leaving to take with me. As has been mentioned the owners are selling as time to play with the grandkids not work, but the food and history is awesome. Yes I'll be back and anyone travelling Hwy 1 thru Spences Bridge well with the stop off the highway by the Baits Motel.
Just a fabulous little restaurant. We've stopped and ate here several times over the last few years and have had both breakfast and dinners here. Always had a great meal. Especially like the fact that fruit and vegatables are grown locally and the baked goods such as the breads and pies are home made.Doug and Shirley from Ashcroft.
Try the specials! Chicken salad sandwich with pan potatoes and soup were great. Homemade sausage & veggie soup was perfectly seasoned and tasty. Freshly made chicken salad on homemade bread. Tasty pan potatoes. Garden salad with chicken came with a very generous serving of grilled chicken. Fun atmosphere with great service.
