Outback Steakhouse Phoenix Cactus Rd.

We were here a few times and always had great food and service. This last time not so much. We sat outside for 20 minutes without service. There was a table next to us that was served, the server even looked at us every time he got out. I finally went in to ask if we had a server and the host admitted that she forgot to tell him he had another table. Typically in other restaurants we were asked “has someone come to get your drink order?” Or have you helped? But we have nothing. Since the hostess is now aware of the situation, the server will be out immediately, that was not the case. It took 10 minutes for him. We ordered our drinks, appetizers and meals at the same time. Every time our server has brought out something and we thank you, his answer was “yes”. We rarely saw our server asking for things like another set of cutlery almost impossible. When I asked for a drink, it took almost 15 minutes to get it. Dessert was out of the question because we didn't spend another hour there. The only thing that came fast was the check! Our food was pretty cool, not even warm, and you could say that it was sitting there for a while before it was brought out. I don't think this was a kitchen problem, just a server problem. We enjoy the food at Outback, so we continue to visit, just not this place. It is worth the gas money and a bit longer in the car to not forget about the hostess and how to treat an inconvenience of the server. Definitely $120 NOT well spent this time. Update: Spoke with Jim, managing partner. He really seemed apologetic and offered to make things right. Jim took responsibility for his staff and did not try to make excuses for bad service. As I said, we have gone to this place many times with great service and food and I appreciate Jim taking the time to turn this experience into a better one.

Don't wait, 2pm late lunch, Monday. Server- Daniel was great! Food was okay, but then it's a steakhouse again and I ordered shrimp. $14 for a Fried Shrimp appetizer, boat charge of shrimp, baked and greasy, but ok taste. Bread and butter is good. Chopped Salad was prefabricated, therefore very spoiled and drowned in dressing. Would have been made delicious. Try to get the homemade lemonade, but it was like drinking lemon water, not much lemon and very tart, no sweet. Beautiful dining room, spacious, warm, welcoming. Outside the terrace and many parking spaces in a good location with many shopping facilities, restaurants, coffee etc.

Really amazing service and the quality of the 15oz. ribeye cooked to medium perfection killed my carnivore cravings! The coconut shrimp and warm bread were so delicious! I had tried Longhorn up the street about a month ago, but Outback has em beat by a Long-shot! I'll see you soon!

My middle rare steak was best medium, but unevenly cooked with most of it moderately too well. They prepared another one that was perfectly cooked. Your steaks are class, not prime. The staff was above all friendly, Server Toni was above all excellent!

Restaurant was busy, but no waiting for table or food. Full menu! Waitress was great (sorry, I forgot your name). The food was fresh and hot. Steak cooked perfectly. Great portions, I took remnants home. Very recommended!
