Old River Grill At Brimhall Square

Ooooh my GOODNESS!!!!This is a hidden jewel. As long as we've been visiting Bakersfield, this our very first time here today. The food is DELICIOUS!!!! Our server Crystal is sweet and amazing. My husband and I live in Riverside County. We have family here in Bakersfield. This is our NEW spot to visit every time we come.The wait time was very short, but while waiting, they had free cucumber and lemon water and coffee while you wait.We dined in. The smoked Salmon Omelette, Bourbon Omelette, The Killer Kern Omelette, and Meyer Lemon pancakes were FANTASTIC!!! Also, the Mimosa Flight was amazing. Everything came out super quick.We were highly impressed!!!!Thank you for your amazing food and service.

First at the brimhall location. Service atmosphere was excellent. This is my experience. My choice of meal was ok. Grilled chicken sandwich with fries. Grill chicken sandwich needed more flavor. My husbands toast was served more on the untoasted side. It was basically still white. Butter didn’t even melt. His breakfast was ok as well. Our waiter was on it! He did great. Although my experience was not that well. I would recommend eating here to have your own review. I will stick to their location on Hageman.

The food here was not okay for health concerns. After my burger arrived with melted plastic on it, they were very apologetic, and cooked a replacement. The service was good, but later that day a family member came down with food poisoning and had to seek medical aid. While the service was good, people should be wary.

Great food and service make this a great spot for breakfast. Entire staff was very helpful. The menu is huge so there are plenty of opportunities to come back and try other stuff!

Great place for breakfast compares to a mix of i ihop and Spencer’s. The staff is friendly and sweet! They even offered a free cup of coffee while we waited for our table.
