A big thank you to Dave and all the staff for your great hospitality and wonderful catering at my father-in-law’s wake. As this coincided with Her Majesty the Queen’s funeral you could have closed but no. You called to say that you would honour the booking and we are so grateful for that. We would not hesitate in recommending you to others, and we will definitely be returning for a delicious meal.

Food is always spot on. There is often a wait, but this is a really busy pub and the food is cooked fresh so you don't mind waiting. We like to call after walking around the woods, there is a large car park, lots of outdoor seating and very dog friendly (outside). One of our favourite pubs and a really good mix of regulars and travellers. Would recommend.

on Friday before Christmas with friends visited. we had booked a table just to find us placed right next to the door that we thought was unusual, since no one around us was eating and the others were diners in front of the bar or around the corner. our order placed, but the service seemed a bit hurried. that was nice to eat.

excellent Sunday dinner. piping hot, meat tender roast potatoes as they should be, not like leather. hardly was the service first. very busy, which speaks best for itself to book.

We booked a meal for Fathers Day for 7 adults and,although it was busy,the staff were polite and friendly and we had a great time.Starters and mains were lovely.Thank you
