Nobles Restaurant & Bar

Friends gave us a gift certificate 'High Tea for 2' at Nobles Restaurant and we finally had the chance to be pampered last Saturday. Having moved out of the area ourselves but having an elderly mother who still lives in the Hills, it presented a great way to catch up in a comfortable air-conditioned environment. It was different to what we would normally do, my mother in-law enjoyed it so much (and that was like a gift to us!). We noticed some larger tables of guests celebrating engagements, birthdays and other special occasions - we thought what a great idea and perfect venue for special family things (especially if there are mixed ages). The old Tudor style lends itself perfectly as the setting for high tea, lovely windows with nice green leafy outlooks, large carpeted rooms with comfortable and well spaced out tables and chairs plus parking just outside the door. On arrival we were greeted by very friendly staff and shown to our table, which was made up with a REAL tablecloth, fine bone china and elegant cutlery was laid to suit. Next we were offered water, followed by our choice of bubbles, tea & or coffee. We opted for the small individual bottles of De Bortoli sparkling Chardonnay Pinot Noir (even my husband who usually won't drink champagne agreed it was very nice).Next came our delicious three tiered platter, the first larger plate filled with six small warmed quiches, smoked salmon and other variety (crustless) finger sandwiches. Second plate (middle) had lovely warm scones with the jam & whipped cream to accompany and the top plate was filled with delicious small fruit flans, tiny custard tarts and other delicate sweet offerings such as macaroons. We selected Earl Grey tea to go with our high tea, the bergamot flavour we all agreed was perfect. With the high tea being available over a few hours we were not rushed and made the most of the very pleasant experience. The staff couldn't have done anything more than they did to make us enjoy our time and feel special. Having experienced high tea overseas whilst on holiday I have to say I was surprised this rivalled some of the best we've had (some that cost a lot more). We would be happy to recommend it as an alternative to our family next time they suggest catching up for dinner, it's nicer not to feel rushed to make way for other diners and traffic isn't a problem at this time of the day. We held our own considering we are all on various diets! Highly recommended

Oh my, made a booking where upon arrival was made to wait while they put some tables together..Order our meals entrees and mains, only to receive the mains first, oh my...requested to the waiter to no longer serve the entrees yet we were presented with them anyway. Table full of food with and all at once. The entrees became complimentary which was compensation that wasn't asked our expected so thank you.Busy night for Nobles just maybe emphasise you want your entrees before the main meal ☺️

Party of 8 for a birthday on a Saturday night. The restaurant was busy but we had a reservation. The restaurant is located within the Hills Lodge and seems a little more upmarket than a lot of other restaurants. We weren't staying at the hotel. Menu seemed to cover a lot of different choices. The food was very good and we didn't seem to wait too long after ordering. There were no complaints about any of the food and would revisit.

Nobles is a nice restaurant situated in the Hills Lodge Good menu to choose from and staff very friendly Meals were well presented and tasty Definitely worth a second visit

Been a few times & not disappointed. Great food & friendly service. Decent menu selection, Ravioli was superb & generous serving. Lamb for mains which melted in the mouth.
