Nicoletta Italian Kitchen

I first ate at Nicoletta’s Italian Kitchen in 2019, and it was my first experience having Burrata. When coming back to the city this weekend for an exhibit, I made sure that we had a reservation so I could experience that same amazing flavor again. I was not disappointed! We started with the Lotte’s Lemonade and the Smoky Margarita, and they were both fresh and incredible! We were eating before an exhibit, so we stuck to apps and had the Burrata, Calamari Chop Salad. My memory of the Burrata was not incorrect…it’s still the best I’ve ever had! The calamari was seasoned perfectly and the Pomodoro sauce was tart, had just enough tooth from the garlic and onion, and a little lemony spark. The chop salad was perfectly dressed in an exceptional herb vinaigrette gently coating the romaine radicchio with little bites of provolone, prosciutto, olives, peppadews and chickpeas. I cannot recommend Nicolettas highly enough… I will fly here from Michigan just for dinner!

Being out of town finding a place to enjoy good grub can be a game of roulette. We were so pleased with our experience at Nicoletta's. We were seated immediately, our server was friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy. Our meals were delish. We started with the calamari. It was lightly fried and was a tasty start. I was happy when I was told I could order a half and half pizza, as I was so undecided since all the options sounded tasty. I went with the Calabrese and Margherita, and both were amazing. One pie is more than enough for two people. I was happy to leave with leftovers. My hubby ordered the Tagliatelle. It was creamy and flavorful, a great meal. I ended the meal with Tiramisu, which was ok, it was not the best I have ever had. Over all the prices were reasonable and the quality was worth it.

We had an excellent dinner. For appetizers we had the grilled artichoke and the meatballs, both were delicious. Our ravioli, rigatoni, and chicken Parmesan were great, but the star might have been the pizza. Perfectly done with a nice crispy crust and amazing chunky tomato sauce. Nice beers and really good black cherry seltzer on tap

We had great tasting pizzas but the mushrooms spinach had too much toppings so the cheese was very runny/ gooey that made it seem like a sauce and the crust for eggplant chicken meatball, mushroom spinach and cheese pizza was too dry w/ the flour. Corn Meal would be best or lightly cooked. The Truffle fries and salad tasted .
