My partner and go here once a week for breakfast before doing laundry and our weekly errands. We have loved the fast and efficient service, and they were able to accommodate my needs. NOW, ownership has changed over. See, I don't eat pork, and though that really limits me (with the exception of Corned Beef Hash), most breakfast joints/restaurants that I go to, can swap it for a burger patty. Not only did they REFUSE to swap to a burger patty, the cook was sour that the request was even made, which made me uncomfortable for even asking. Following this, I asked for another minute with the menu and decided to get the same breakfast, and just give my protein portion to my partner. Our server came back, and upon placing my new order, I asked for a side of hollandaise, seeing as they had Eggs Benedict. She said "no, we don't make hollandaise". To which I politely responded "well, that's what goes on an Eggs Benny, surely you have it", and to that she responded with "the cook had 4 orders of hollandaise in one day and just won't do it anymore. If you want hollandaise, you have to order the Eggs Benedict." What do I see wrong with this? IT HAS PEMEAL. What's pemeal? PORK. By this point, I was disappointed and embarrassed for making what seemed like a scene, I decided on getting a BAGEL AND HOME FRIES. No eggs. No meat. Just a bunch of carbs. Our server AT 11AM, said that they don't have homefries. They had dollar fries. Which are deep fried potatoes, AKA french fries, in the shape of, you guessed it- dollars. So my breakfast would be a bagel and french fries. After this, I was frustrated and hadn't had more than a sip of my tea, and my partner, his coffee. We decided that we would try our luck with breakfast somewhere else. We went to leave and she said that our bill was $3.50, for two sips of our drinks. In my honest opinion, this restaurant has a large "regular" clientele, and will not survive with their new menu and restricted offerings. Having only been open with new ownership for two weeks, one would think that they would be more accommodating and friendly. There are several other places to grab a quick breakfast that they will have to compete with, and we will not be back, though we live a block away.

I visited the restaurant earlier this week and was lucky to be the first customer of the day. With no students around yet, I was able to savor my burger in peace and quiet.

I love this clean little venue where you feel like everyone knows your name when you arrive. Courteous service, great homecooked meals. Great senior selections and prices

We mostly go there for breakfast or lunch and the servings are plentiful and flavourful. Sandy is the owner and treats staff and customers with respect and fun.
