General When visiting Forchheim you should definitely visit the Kellerwald. Here you can enjoy Franconian bread times and beer of local breweries. In the course of the year there is a constant temperature of six to ten degrees Celsius in the rock cellars, ideal for storing beer when there was no modern cooling technology. Somehow the cool beer came directly at the basement and the numerous beer cellars from Forchheim were created. In the meantime, many warehouses have been built and, like the Neder-Keller, an annual management has become possible today. On foot from the station you can go to the Kellerwald for about a quarter of an hour. The way is signed. If you come with your own vehicle what you should avoid, you will find free parking in the Kellerwald. Ambiente A traditionally decorated cellar economy. The guest room in dark wood. Tables and chairs practical. Country house gardens on the windows and a counter area. Everything was a bit dark, but the little vase with roses on each table had a little refreshing. Service Here the boss still serves in all tranquility and cosiness. Eat a large daily card with hot dishes or Franconian bread times. A culinary treat was the meat spices with pommes (6,90 €). The announced waiting period of 30 minutes was worth this. The spies were buttery, the sauce was delicious and delicious. Also the Franconian Cordon Bleu with Obazda, onions, bacon with roast potatoes and salad (8,90 €). The liquid cheese flew only from Cordon Bleu and made everything beautifully juicy and devotional. Also the cheese parrots with salad (6.50€ were cooked to the point and tastefully very good. Conclusion: “Alla Dooch” – Go to the basement – it is worth it

We were for a tour in the Kellerwald in Forchheim. The Neder cellar was the best of the beer gardens or cellars we tried on the day. You can stay here very well, the service was very friendly. We just wanted something for lunch. The curry sausage was recommended for men and this was really very, very good.
