Nammos Courchevel 1850

I was sober which was the main issue. Everyone else was plastered by 1pm and dancing on the tables had already started.The tables are jammed so close together you can't get out and the staff have to pass the food to the nearest person to pass round. The music is very loud, so you can't speak and we were charged for a magnum of wine that we didn't order. The wine we did order never arrived ...so we had our main course and left. The waiter complained angrily that we wouldn't leave a tip but when we pointed out all the failings he said it wasn't his fault and we should give him a tip. We wouldn't , so he had a stand up row with the wine waiter. Hilarious. They also charge for tap water at €7 per carafe which is illegal in France. Don't bother, ski 200 meters further into the classy Chalet St Pierre.

Alors Nammos c'est le dernier restaurant à la mode de Courchevel. Lorsqu'on y va on sait que le rapport qualité prix sera élevé. Mais là cela frise l’indécence. Les plats sont horriblement chers, les vins sont à l'unisson. On pourrait se dire que le personnel dans ce genre d'endroit peut faire la différence. Et bien on est pas déçu. Le personnel a autre chose à faire que de se charger des clients (comme prendre le soleil au bar extérieur), il ne parle pas ou très mal le français. Seul petit bémol mais qui ne rattrape rien, le sommelier est très correct. Passez votre chemin...

Very fancy place and therefore unbelievably high prices but awful service. We ate a lunch which cost eur for persons with minimum priced meals. But they insisted more. At the toilets they demanded us to pay eur service fee. During the meal...they came to scrub some stain from the table cloth, as if it were some kind of demonstration. And they were insisting us to pay minimum service fee. So the place left us with a very unpleasant feeling and a total cost of almost Avoid. But food was good.

This restaurant looks great and has some really interesting features..... BUT be prepared to not get a table outside unless you have booked in advance. The food is ok but pushing the limits as regards the price value. ( 65 euros for a beef-burger !) Staff ok (just) but the front of house needs some training on how to welcome clients. All in all not a place one would revisit unless you are one of the "beautiful people" who just need to be seen .....

Grosse ambiance au Nammos toute la journée ! Des tarifs prohibitifs mais une très bonne ambiance Alors c'est sympa d'y aller de temps en temps !
