I loved this pub when I lived close by. Awesome atmosphere, friendly staff, great drinks, the perfect pub. Wanted to revive that spirit today when I was in London with my family. Called to reserve a table for four been told they don’t take reservations for the evening, I should simply pop in. We did. Many tables had a reservation sign on them (thought they didn’t do reservations) I asked for a table, was told I should search for one myself, no sign of a table queue or anything. we stuck around a bit to see if a table would be free eventually. once one became available I sat down with my daughter just to be told this table was reserved. The waiter came to move us away from the table, saying it was reserved. You either take reservations or you don’t but treating your guests differently depending on “I don’t know what” just doesn’t seem like a welcoming atmosphere. This used to be my favourite pub in London, I even had a business Christmas party there (yes, with reservations for 10 guests). My love is gone. Best

I had my wedding reception here, so am a little biased to how brilliant this place is, but it is honestly such a lovely privately owned local pub with a fireplace for the winter months, absolutely amazing burgers and halloumi fries and the staff are absolute legends. Save a spot for me

We didn't eat here but came for the Monday night quiz, which starts at 7.30. Fabulous quiz and really friendly staff. The pub has a great atmosphere and the drinks are reasonably priced. They also have a garden.
