Moulin Marin - Reservar uma mesa

The reviews on this restaurant led us to book up for a special occasion. As far as interesting menu, great ambience, good service, the place lived up to its reputation. However, we were disappointed. First, the escargots cassolette had a sauce, supposedly flavoured with Noilly Prat, but was more or less a soup, with very little flavour. Then, we both had the lamb steak with thyme and honey sauce... the lamb was virtually raw we like our lamb well pink, after all we live in France but this was deep red raw, with a gently squeeze oozing **** water. I have posted a photo of the dish. On the other hand, my wife had an excellent saumon tartare for an entrée, and our desserts: a strawberry mousse with crunchy praline and a fresh fruit salad were good. I give a high value rating on value for the selections, if they were as they should be. It is a shame that I have to report a disappointment, but, in the final analysis, whatever the ambience etc, a restaurant must have the dishes executed properly. I spoke with the manager, who seemed quite indifferent to my comments.

we stayed days in this hotel on the occasion of the crowding of lapalisse the hotel is well the comfortable rooms the good bedding. well equipped with fridge and safe. A small flat the room was not made during our stay. The housekeeper was just leaving and not recesses. astonishing when for an etoilesthe restoration is good and the welcoming staff. the friendly owners very charming welcomed us in their restaurant in town during the party and prepared a very hearty meal for the last night. We thank them for their kindness. Overall we spent a pleasant stay

super stay for a professional trip to the marine mill. hotel coast, spacious and very well equipped room with mini bar and very good bedding. very quiet and so relaxing. restaurant side, a party every evening, very good cuisine with very good products. super welcome from the owners who are very pleasant and in the care of their customers. I will come back without hesitation and I will recommend this establishment.

Di passaggio per visitare i castelli della Loira abbiamo pernottato a Lapalisse scegliendo questa struttura sia come hotel semplice ma confortevole che come ristorante. Siamo rimasti piacevolmente sorpresi dalla gentile accoglienza, dalla genuinità dei prodotti offerti, per esempio il patè con ottima composta di cipolle o la morbidissima entrecote, e dal rapporto prezzo/qualità

Lovely setting in a converted mill. Food was well presented and great tasting. Local wine was also good value. Staff were very friendly and accomodating (to the point of offering us a lift back to our B&B ! . Would recommend.
