Monjul - Reservar uma mesa

Very disappointed with our visit here! I read the poor reviews and tried to pass them off as probably overly sensitive snobby reviewers - how wrong was I!!! Everything said is true! We arrived 10 minutes early and were very aloofly offered a table literally by them gesturing towards the table available. I found this extremely poor service from what should be a good quality restaurant. We were sat for a solid 10 minutes before anyone then acknowledged us by giving us a menu but they still said nothing else to us.After this we eventually caught one of the waiters eyes and he said "yes I'm coming ok" before rushing past us back to the kitchen . He then literally asked us our order when he came back - this is now 20 minutes in to being sat at our table and we hadn't even been given an offer of water for our table or asked about drinks!!!We booked this table a month ahead of our visit to Paris and were excited about the innovative menu and wine flight as advertised on the website. However don't be fooled by this - they told us they don't offer a wine flight even though it was priced up on their website, so failing this we asked if they atleast had matching wines to the courses - the waiter said no and then literally just walked off without saying a word or taking our order. A different female waitress then returned and asked if we were ready to order our drinks and starters - clearly very disorganised service and they do not understand their menu nor their flavour combinations. We were then given an amuse buche when we said we would have to decide if the tasting menu we hoped for wasn't on offer, and this just tasted like a pot of salty curry sauce, no depth of flavour whatsoever. As a result we could take no more and had to leave!!!Very poor quality food which is embarrassing for a city famed for its culinary prowess!

réservez - surtout le weekendj'ai gouté aux "remplacements" càd aux nouvelles propositions d la carte* l'oeuf parfait - était parfait - sur un nid de pâtes chinoises complet et de julienne de légumes croquantes - un oeuf poché - couronné de vermicelle craquante - le tout arrosé dernière minute d'un bouillon de shitake et dashi - un plat merveilleux pour l'été plein de saveurs asiatiques subtiles*la poitrine de porc - caramelisée au gingembre - avec de l'ananas grillé et fine "dentelle" d'ananas - du riz en boule pimenté (légèrement) et une mousse de riz - les différentes saveurs étaient harmonieuses - on a du croustillant et du tendre compositions très réussiespersonnel qualifié et aimable

Eigentlich wollten wir bei Claude Colliot (gleiche Straße, Nr. 40) zu Mittag essen: August, Restaurant geschlossen. Auf Empfehlung von Claude Colliot (telefonisch) sind wir dann im "Monjul" eingekehrt: Mittagsmenü (22 Euro) mit einem Rindertartar, superzartem Hühnchen auf krosser Haut mit Selleriemus und einem Feigenblatt-Eis. Alles extrem delikat und von einem tollen Service begleitet. Eine echte Alternative zum sehr rustikalen "Chartier" in der 7 rue du Faubourg Montmartre, 75009 Paris.

Plats moyens: les assiettes sont présentées comme des assiettes quasi-gastronimique mais la qualité gustative des produits et moyen et n'a absolument rien d'exceptionnel. Si vous êtes du genre à vous laisser impressionner par une assiette bien décorer vous allez aimer, mais si vous êtes amateur de bonne cuisine, que vous avez un peu voyagé avec un palais curieux ce restaurant vous paraîtra comme une arnaque.
