Mille-feuille Bakery

12/26/2022, Monday: I tried the walnut chocolate chip cookie, francaise de pomme (apple turnover pastry) and a plain croissant at Mille Feuille Bakery just south of Washington Square park in NYC. The turnover and croissant were classic french pastries and very light, while the cookie was not soft and moist but crispy, large and very filling, with many walnuts and dark chocolate chips, and very good as well. The bakery had many desserts, sandwiches and varieties of sourdough and multigrain fresh baked breads. A nice spot by the park conveniently next to a citibike dock, with very friendly and attentive service.

Pastries are absolutely delicious and delightful. The serveuse owner seems rather disinterested and eager to get it over with said “bye” even before I could bag my purchase. Don’t feel welcomed at all. I did notice her being quite warm and friendly to an elder lady maybe she’s a regular.

Friendly staff. Place is small, clean and tidy. Got a dozen of macaroons, I picked the flavors myself. Bought the voucher through Groupon, it was easy and fast. Will definitely be coming back to try other pastries.

Delicious pastries! The owner, Mounia, was incredibly helpful and lovely (recommended the lemon pound cake without toasting it to taste the authentic lemon zest, incredible! . Highly recommend!
