Mezze Bistro - Reservar uma mesa

Clearly a popular place, with an upscale ambiance and corresponding clientele. Food was a bit unbalanced and didn't quite hit the high notes. The Crispy Potato Cake with smoked fish was ambitious but in the end was just a greasy potato cake to which the fish mousse couldn't stand up. Likewise, the chicken liver mousse was just an unmemorable liver pate. The bistro steak was, well, a steak. The winning entree was the tagliatelle. Pasta were a tad too al dente but the sauce was excellent, thick and flavorful. What pulled the whole dinner out of the ordinary were the desserts we tried, the summer berry crisp and the lemon curd. Excellent. Limited list of wines by the glass but the Pinot was very good. Beer came in a can, huh? Service was fast but spotty. We had to ask three times for more bread. Check was dropped on our table while we were still working on our dessert, borderline rude. Never asked if we wanted any coffee or after dinner drinks. It felt like they were just trying to turn the table over as fast as possible. This all may sound more negative than it really was, I would come back anytime without hesitation, but there just seems to be a disconnect between ambition and execution.

Appetizers were good, but two of the entrees were very much over salted. Cherry dessert was a big disappointment. Only a few cherries on each of the plates and pastry was dry, stale and tasteless; diplomat cream was nothing more than a dallop of whipped cream. To make matters worse, when server was clearing plates, they unknowingly flung cherry juice all over one of the guests. We've been to Mezze many times with great food, but this time was a major disappointment.

Outstanding in every aspect! The flavor! The olive oil alone was delicious, not to mention our courses. Compliments to the chef! The space! The outdoor surroundings and windows fill the room with nature and soft light. The service! From suggestions, information details, and even offering bread, it was clear the staff was knowledgeable and passionate. SO looking forward to visiting again.

As in the past, Mezze offered an exceptional experience. The award winning chef and his associates are inventive and talented. They use primarily locally sourced food. All the employees from greeting to serving seemed genuinely eager to make our experience memorable. The three course fixed price menu is not limited as in some restaurants. Each course had many items to choose from.

We absolutely loved every aspect of our dinner. The food was delicious we had a hard time making choices because all of the options looked fantastic. The services staff was outstanding.
