Mama's Picanteria

This new restaurant would deserve the maximum 5 stars if we could give them for a non veg restaurant, as I never had such lovely vegetarian/vegan food outside a purely vegetarian/vegan restaurant. Nothing beats a home cooked meal . The dishes are creative, colorful, and of course delicious. We had the Burratina on apple/strawberry salad, the Corn on the Cob lollies ' and the Matcha Quinoa Causas...and we can 't even say which was the best. All three were just excellent. And as the name says we have been taken care there like at mums place with a warm and friendly welcome and a most attentive service. The reviews for non vegetarian food are excellent as well, so I guess it 's also a perfect place to go with non veg friends. Updated from previous review on 2017 06 30

You could also avoid going if you are vegan. You only have 3 starters (Tapas) with around 8 euros each and an Aubergine Steak, as they call it for 11 euros, the really a slice of boiled eggplant with some sauce above (of course it comes with Helloumi cheese and of course ask them to remove it, but the price stays the same)

El menú marca las opciones veganas y el personal es muy amable. Excelente atención. Yuca frito con salsa casera, papas fritas, garbanzos buñuelo y verduras con salsa de miso. Delicioso todo para cortar, partes justas.

Beautiful small space with outdoor and indoor seating and friendly staff. However, vegan options are very limited -yuca chips for starters and Aubergine Steak originally with halloumi that you can remove for main.

Omni friends from us wanted to dinner, so we were looking for a restaurant near us. Mom's picanteria didn't disappoint! Great presentation, service and a great tasting meal! Includes appetizer, main and dessert!
