Mama D's Italian

We asked for a table for 2 and sat in about 20 minutes on Thursday night. The restaurant is very cramped, but this is understandable in view of its first-class real estate situation. We started with some bread that wasn't terrible, but a bit too much for my pleasure. Then we ordered two pizzas. The staff was absolutely wonderful and answered all the questions and in general was very welcoming. The pizzas were fine, they weren't terrible, but they had fat above them and definitely weren't something you would come back, but if you were in the neighborhood and your two top choices were closed as sure I came here. The pizza wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great. It was okay. Due to how hot and fresh the pizza is, I would recommend you to let it sit because if you do not end up in it and take all the beats of bread. You will give you free cookies at the end of your dinner, which is always beautiful. Overall, I would give it an 80/100 a B-.

My last night in OC and here we came for dinner. The line outside was crazy that we didn't think we were gonna sit down before they closed, but we did! We were probably the last round of individuals who closed in front of the restaurant. We shared the mushrooms and mozzarella sticks that were so delicious but heavy when you order a pasta for dinner, I would recommend one of the two if you are a smaller party (less than 3 . Originally I wanted to order the Papa D's Shrimp Scampi, but when I saw that the Ravioli was homemade, I couldn't give it up. I have the chicken and ricotta with the rose sauce (I was told that this is what they are known for. The dish was delicious the chicken was shredded and easy to eat and the cheese melted in perfect the only thing I would have added is a little more sauce as it became dry after a while. all in all a great taste of Italy!

In one word, AMAZING! We went to this little gem while on vacation. There was a line out the door and boy was it worth the wait. Enjoyed bread and wine service outside while we waited. Stockton was our server and he was great. Made amazing recommendations and his service was top notch. Pink sauce was delicious and so was the regular marinara. This place was on point with some of the best Italian restaurants I’ve had in Chicago and New York. Wish we could have gone twice during our trip.

Mama D is amazing. We drove 500 miles on motorcycles to eat here and I would do it anytime. Keith the owner is a gracious host and came to the table to talk to us and brought his mother the favorite dish. The pasta is fresh. The pink sauce is creamy and wonderful. I have absolutely no complaints. Amazing food, great service, wonderful atmosphere. I'd give 6 stars if I could.

The weather is good today, I brought my sisters to Newport Beach for dinner. Yelp found this inexpensive Italian meal. After the arrival, I was broken up. The salt and pepper squid was so crispy and delicious. We ordered two plates, and my eldest ate it. Excellent pasta.
