What a great way to spend an hour or two.We made our first visit one evening and had a very tasty meal in a very stylish restaurant having first enjoyed an apero in the equally stylish bar. The menu is limited featuring mainly rib of beef for 2 or fresh fish.There is however an additional option of a very inventive idea offering a selection of interesting dishes in either starter or main dish portions which allows you to select a variety of dishes depending on your appetite or budget.It would be great for a group of friends to go and approach it as a tapas meal.The wines by the glass selection is interesting and reasonably priced and there is a very impressive wine list available with all the wines on offer from the next door wine shop.The service was friendly relaxed.We returned the following day and spent some time and money in the wine shop. It has a very impressive selection of local and regional wines and an outstanding range of spirits .Well worth a visit.After spending a very enjoyable hour in the shop we went through to the bar and ate from the starter/mains menu choosing a selection of starter portions and glasses of wine from the bar. A great relaxed lunch and a boot full of wine and tapas from the shop.
Listed in the Michelin Guide last year, it lost its chef and its star rating, all bad news. Yet.....the good news is that the new chef is excellent, and the food and service are outstanding. The Michelin reviewer didn't know what he was missing! This is a retail wine shop, with an outstanding selection; a wine bar, where one can sample wines by the glass and have a tapa/snack, and a sit-down restaurant with a limited but fresh menu. We had dinner there twice, and the food preparation and presentation were excellent! Staff speak Spanish and English. It doesn't look like much from the road, as it is partly hidden, plus it is in an unattractive area near industrial parks and the railroad station.......but the interior areas are attractive and comfortable. It goes without saying that they have a wonderful wine list! We had a glass of wine at the wine bar, and dinner in the dining room; the friendly staff were memorable for their attention and pleasant attitude. Lots of smiles and great service. We went back to find everything just as good a week later!
We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance and ended up having a lovely meal. Fantastic food and decent price. No menu as such, just a blackboard with a few choices. We both had steak, cooked exactly as asked and full of flavour. Waiter was friendly and spoke good English as well as French and Spanish too. I would definitely recommend!
