Ma Pa’s Tex-mex Bbq

Heard about rave reviews of this little restaurant, and we were in town for the Summer Block Party (lots of fun and great Farmer's Market here! , so we decided to give it a try. The food was tasty, but we waited over 25 minutes to receive it, and it was cold when we ate it. The restaurant is tiny, so it is for takeout only and you can eat it at the outdoor picnic tables, which is what we did. However, no one is wiping down the tables outside, so grab extra napkins to clean it off yourself. While the food tasted good, the service was lacking and a bit pricey. $32 tip for 2 platters (each with two soft flour tacos w/toppings, small side of rice and beans, and homemade tortilla chips (cold too , and two sodas . Our curiosity was served, but we will not return. I prefer to eat my tacos steaming hot, and homemade chips should be served warm.

The food is absolutely delicious, especially the shrimp tacos. It was quite a drive for me so I won't be visiting there anytime soon., I would have to visit the area to order from them again.

Nice small spot for decent Tex Mex style food. Large portions, nice outdoor seating area or take out. Nachos, quesadillas, barrios tacos, tacos and more.Food: 4/5

This awesome tasty takeout restaurant is a cute little log cabin with picnic tables outside. No indoor seats. Must try.
