Long Road Distillers

this place is one of the best around distillery experiences I've ever had. ashley was a big bartender / mixologe. she mixed fantastic drinks and was very well informed about the products. here we go with the drinks and eat. absinthe- a smell of a limette with a hauch of anis with a taste of licinus and pfeffernocino- zimt knock, ingwerbrot smell with a delicious clot, zimt with a hauch of orange. bourbon- odor of vanilla and butter and tasted butter carmel at the front end If they like the little crispies, they have to try them. makati sling- fantastic! a simple gin drink with complex aromas. here comes the sun with metyin made so good. Last dance - a very mild non-descript smell with a tart manhattan taste. I honestly like it better than a manhattan because it's not so overpowered sweet. Polish falcon taste like the best calcareous aid with a ginger ****. we need to come back to taste other cocktails and take a bottle of their line home.

Bar was beautiful, drinks were very good but expensive. Whiskey was ok as a mixer but at 18months not as good as Kentucky boubans. Food was a dissapointment. First our appetizer was Duck Nachoes. It didnt come out until all the food did. Then is was cold and had no or very little duck in it. My wifes shrimp was burnt and my fish and chips were about the same as grocery store frozen ones. One other in our group had the steak and it was very good and perfectly cooked. So food is a hit or miss. I think if the food had been really good i could have rated them 4 or 5 stars.

We hosted our company holiday party at The Rickhouse (private upstairs space at LRD) and it was a fantastic experience. I felt their prices were extremely reasonable, the staff was amazing, drinks and food were top notch and the space was perfect for our group. We look forward to hosting additional corporate events at The Rickhouse and partnering with Long Road Distillers in the future. Cheers!

Drinks were amazing but took forever to come out! We were half done with our food before the first round of drinks came out. Second round took longer than the first round. Duck nachos and Mediterranean platter were really good. Had to ask for our bill twice. Hopefully it was a one time thing.
