Lokal + Co - Reservar uma mesa

Lokal Co is a breakfast or coffee time favourite of my husbands so I leapt at the chance to attend a lunch there. We were a big group (28) so everything was preplanned and the afternoon was flawless. We were made to feel welcome as we arrived and the food was stunning. A signature of the meals is thoughtful use of fresh herbs and seasonal vegetables. The jus and sauces with the dishes are on point and each plate is carefully assembled. A feast for the eyes and your tastebuds! The standout dish for me was an entree of salt and pepper barramundi, yellow curry with cucumber relish and wilted greens. A squeeze of lime over this dish was food heaven! Also shown here was a Lamb loin with Adelaide Hills goat curd and warm mandarin dressing and a main dish of Slow cooked beef cheeks , mushroom ragout and sift polenta. This is a little gem in Brusbane's West End.

Very Nordic decor. The menu wasn't so Nordic, although a few Nordic dishes snuck in. The place was strangely quiet at 1030 on a Sunday morning - which was great for us, although the early rush meant that they were sold out of congee (which I wanted to order). The coffee was delicious, came quickly and the waitresses were knowledgeable and friendly. The food was tasty and great. I will return for dinner. I think lunch might pose a problem for parking given that residents need permits during the day. I'm willing to give it a go though!

We had passed by Lokal Co on our way to other West End venues so decided to give it a try on a sunny Sunday as it promised courtyard dining. The food was excellent although the servings were quite small for the price. We were grateful that one of our party ordered chips - at least we didn't leave hungry. The courtyard was sunny and the service was good. Interestingly there are more drinks on the menu than food. I am looking forward to returning to sample the cocktails.

Fantastic food, friendly service and good value...what more could you want? Celebrated a birthday lunch on Sunday. We all enjoyed it and would go back again.

Great place - have been here for breakfast and lunch and love it. Staff is very friendly and the food is great. Great spot to bring your dog as well
