"a warm welcome and insinifying dishes compared to the comments given. a lack of taste and finesse even if the menu is cheap. a note so high that is not deserved because of the very cold reception of the waitress."

We went here for dinner based on other reviewers comments and we're still surprised. As other have said, the atmosphere isn't great, (the lights are too bright, the music too quiet, there are one or two too many tables and the pictures on the wall are odd) but based on other reviews (and the fact our baby was in a great mood so we wanted to eat quickly) we ordered our €22 set menus... ... the food is brilliant, we had a salmon salad and a carrot and goats cheese thing both of which were excellent. These were followed by steak and seasonal veg, again very well done (slightly under seasoned for our taste), perfectly cooked and great pieces of steak. Finally we had meringues and ice cream and creme caramel. By dessert our baby was sleepy and crying so I fed her before we decided to take it in turns to eat our dessert and take her outside to calm down. The owner who runs front of house was really lovely (as we're other diners) and told us we didn't need to worry. She even took the baby's blanket out to my partner when she saw it on the back of my seat! We were amazed by what we got for our money. It's such a shame about the atmosphere as it's currently a bit of a diner style and if they could make it a bit less bright and the music slightly louder it could be a really great, intimate, restaurant. Having said that if we are ever anywhere near here again we'll be back regardless of the atmosphere.

My husband and I are here to support International Canoe Polo Championships. So it was our first evening in St.Omer. We feel fortunate in choosing the restaurant for dinner. The menu choices gave sufficient options, the lady serving helped us with translation, made us feel welcome. The food was lovely, our starter of smoked salmon piece on a pancake delicious. The mains had good selection of vegetables, in our experience not always the case in France! The dessert choices all tempting but I was very pleased with my creme caramel! My husband enjoyed choosing the wine and we felt we had good value for money. We would be happy to eat another evening before returning home.

Just returned from a visit to this restaurant and what a very pleasant experience. The food was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. The service was excellent and value for money - 15 euros per person for three courses, all of which were equally as good, was outstanding. Have returned after three years and will certainly return again.

local and seasonal products developed and cooked on site, a high price ratio excellent for the menu at 15€50, no chichis but all the attention of the waitress .commentaire precedent totally unjustified, and that more is the reflection of a total lack of knowing how to live! we will return to the Polish dishes during the special week.
