Les Glaces d'Alain

There are loads and loads and loads of ice-cream parlours in St. Gilles-de-Croix and the surrounding towns and villages but I think this is the best. It has an enormous range of flavours that few if any of the others can compete with and the portions are enormous. As a result I wouldn't order a double boule unless you really are feeling more than a little greedy. That said, I did and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Despite frantic licking and spooning we all got masses of dribbles down our hands/arms. Kids couldn't eat it all (we just had a one scoop). Also I had the caramel and salt flavour and I have to say the one I had in a restaurant a couple of days earlier that was better.

Popped here to get the children a holiday treat - their eyes nearly popped out at both the choice and the presentation! My daughter almost inhaled the chocolate ice cream! Well worth a visit

nothing more to say. £3.50 for a tub of the most delicious, ice cream I've never tasted before lusciousness.....
