L'epicurien - Reservar uma mesa

This is definitely a must when in Vaison-la-Romaine. It is a short drive from town and it is so much fun both in the decor and with the owner and staff. We had a blast playing the piano in the lounge area decorated with crazy chairs prior to dinner and then joking with our waiter and the owner over dinner. If your French is challenged, fear not because they speak English here. All our dishes were delicious...chicken with fingerling potatoes, fish with white asparagus, cold cauliflower soup, and beet carpaccio were some of what we sampled. The meal ended with a huge martini glass filled with sweet strawberries. A treat par excellence!

We found it difficult to find an open restaurant on a Monday evening in Vaison, and chose to drive here, a bit from where we were staying. We’re glad we did as this was one of our favorite dinners during our trip. The food was prepared beautifully and the service was simply outstanding. We even stayed and chatted with some of the employees after our dinner and got some local insights and recommendations.

This colorful restaurant, easily reached to/from Vaison, is really worth a visit. Delicious, varied and affordable cuisine served graciously in a charming and unique ambience. You feel right at home from the moment you walk in and are warmly greeted by the professional staff. Fun and original you'll be happy to have made the discovery!

We had lunch in this restaurant located on the road to Malaucenne a few minutes away from Vaison. The restaurant itself is nice. We ordered meat but,unfortunately, the meat (beef) was not tender and hard to chew. The other dish we had was a wok of pasta and that was fine. So, in short, we had mixed feelings about this restaurant…

What a fun place. Just outside Vaison-la-Romaine, we read the reviews and took the plunge. It was one of our highlights of staying in the area. The service was fun. Hard to describe, but the kind of place where the staff seem to enjoy themselves. The food was excellent and prices well within reason.
