L'envie - Reservar uma mesa

I'm afraid I really cannot recommend this place. I was very looking forward to trying it out with a friend, as it looks really inviting from the outside. However, once inside, you realize that the tables, which are very narrow to begin with, are crammed in about as close as can be. This means you are VERY close to your neighbors. The tables are also bare, that is there are neither tablecloths nor even paper place mats. This would be alright for a fast food place, but L'Envie has proud prices. Okay, you think then, the food must be really out of this world. Then you open the menu and see that there is one choice for the daily special, which that day was a vegetarian dish of squash, potatoes and eggplant for SFr 23. If you took the soup and a dessert, it was Sfr 27. The only other choices were a few entrées for SFr. 18 and about four meat/one vegetarian dish for ca. SFr 40. We chose the daily special without the soup or dessert. It was edible but very bland, quite dry, and a very small portion. It was served with a green salad that would have fit easily into a tea cup. The servers were very friendly and attentive and we were served quickly.

We booked a table for lunch at this restaurant and it was just as well because it was packed by the time we were served our meal. To reach our table, we had to walk past the bar in this elongated dining room. Our table was two was close to another table for two and this made for a congenial atmosphere, as we had friendly neighbours. We opted for the menu of the day, consisting of a soup, a main dish and a dessert. The helpful sommelier recommended a glass of red California wine. This went well with the main dish of spare ribs, baked potato and corn on the cob. It was a wonderful experience with cheerful service and original recipes.

One of the best lunches I had in Morges. Wish we could have stopped back for a dinner, but time was short. (Next time! For the English speakers, the waitstaff spoke French, no English, but they are kind and more than willing to work with you if you are willing to work with them. this should not stop you and it is highly recommend you try it. For the menu, just download Google Translate and you'll be fine. Remember, you are here for the adventure and experience.

Wonderful food, everything was cooked perfectly. Atmosphere was so inviting and cozy. Wine recommendation was exquisite. The service was the best we ever had in Switzerland! Helpful, friendly and funny!

It was PERFECT!!! The wine was amazing, i explained what i wanted and the lady sommelier proposed the right match. I had the beef truffle and that was excellent! Thanks,
