Leckerbissen Restaurant Graacher Tor

our visit to the bernkastel kues and our hike to the weinberge, let us pass this tor and immediately guide our attention. an interesting story has shown us. the graacher tor is the only preserved city gate built by 1300. it is one of eight city gates and the last witness of the former strong defense wall. he secured the northern access to the city. the originally high, massive torso was inflated by the French generalmontalt in 1689. ... after a remodeling in 1724 it was a court prison, and later it served as homeless home. .1985 the bernkasteler colping family founded a home museum in the baroque torhaus ... the wooden wings were also recognized on the initiative of the local museum-graacher-Tor and the city of Bernkastel-Kues on October 19th 2002. .... unfortunately the museum was not open on the day of our visit by bernkastel kues.

We decided to have a few drinks here and a little snack at lunch. Drinks were nice, and there is a wide selection on offer. The food is incredible. I had the scallops, and the pairing of tastes with lentils and curry sauce was unbelievable. Every mouthful was absolutely amazing. It was truly a wonderful meal. The reason I am not giving five stars is because there was a mix up with the order where instead of ordering the small meatballs for 4€ we were served the main course for 23€. This was a genuine mistake on all our parts as it was not clear that the small meatballs were only for takeaway. So double check that you've ordered exactly what you wanted. However, this wouldn't deter me from enjoying their food again.

We ordered 1 x Bratkart. Pfiff Price 25,50 €, 1 x truffle noodles Price 28,50 €,1 x local beer 0.5.l 5.20 €,1 glass 0,25 l greyburgundy local white wine,dry 12 €. All together €71.20. The food was delicious, very delicious. Pasta was perfectly cooked with butter truffle sauce. Chanterelle with bacon and onion, homemade sparrow perfectly cooked. The service was very attentive. We can recommend this restaurant.

Super friendly owners and staff. Great food. Tasteful and presented nice on the plate. Would recommend the burger and the truffle pasta.

The title says it all. A little bit pricey but the quality of the food and service makes it a must when visiting Bernkastel.
