Le Tournedos - Reservar uma mesa

We dined twice at Le Tournedos and on both occasions the food was excellent. Our friends who live locally recommended this restaurant as the best in Lezignan and the should know living in the town. We have eaten there in the past and our memories weren't wrong; it was just as good. The service was very friendly, courteous and unobtrusive. We were well looked after both lunch time and in the evening. The restaurant opens at 7:30 in the evening and there appears to be only one sitting but I could be wrong. The menu is meat and fish based and I would imagine that a vegetarian would have difficultly in finding a suitable meal impossible for a vegan. The meat is cooked on a open wood fire and it does taste different cooked this way. The menu card has a reasonable selection to choose from but it's not extensive. The Specials Board had the two day we were there a wonderful selection of dishes plenty to choose from. In our opinion it is a wonderful place to eat. Parking's not a problem as there is very large free public car park at the rear.

This was our third visit. Our first two led us to the conclusion that the quality of the food more than offset the rather average accommodation but this year the accommodation was very poor indeed. To be specific: the toilet seat was loose and there was a leak from the base; the shower took ages to heat up; the shower head fixing was broken so we had to shower holding it with one hand; the shower tray filled up and the floor of the bathroom became soaked. The shower problems were reported but the only response was that we should let it run and it would heat up it did to be fair but the other issues made for a less than pleasant stay. That said, the restaurant was superb and we’d go there for a meal again. The steaks were ‘to die for’ and we certainly didn’t need a starter or a pudding. Shame about the bathroom!

We ate here on a tuesday lunch time, we had booked but it was packed, nevertheless the service was excellent. We chose a menu for 17 Euros including some house wine. The salad starter was served with a slice of wonderful rustic bread with ham, cheese and pesto. My friend and I had the ribs for mains and my husband had the steak. There was an unexpected course of paté in between the starter and the main which was very good. The strawberry dessert was a little sweet but still enjoyable. At just over 50 Euros for 3 people, no wonder it was full. Atmosphere and service were excellent.

Came here with friends... the staff are very friendly and pleasant, the food excellent, the wine superb. Lovely evening; unhurried and gastronomic. Highly recommended.

Great service Good food and drink. Interesting ambiance, cloth table and napkins. Many service personnel.
