The Tastevin has been, for many years, a local reference for fine dining. We had eaten there several times previously prior to the retirement of the former owners and chief.The new owners continue with a focus on excellence in cuisine and service and have brought things up to date. The interior has been completely redecorated — lighter and more open and with more modern décor while remaining tasteful.The menu offers a good range of selections including standards and some innovations. Everyone in our party of four found their food to be excellent. (I began with the pan fried foie gras and found it to be very good). In addition to being excellently prepared, the food is very nicely presented and served. The portions are very appropriate and we certainly did not leave hungry.There is an extensive selection on wine list and knowledgeable advice to help you in your selection. The wines are somewhat expensive but there is a range of prices.In brief, excellent cuisine and excellent service in an environment that has been brought up to date.

If you want to impress someone by taking them out to eat, this is the place. The most luxurious, classically high cuisine, welcoming dining establishment in Maisons-Laffitte. Equally, if someone wants to take you out for your birthday, you might ask someone to bring you to Le Tastevin, because you probably can't afford to eat there normally.So it might cost you around 150 euros with a decent wine to eat here, but the service is obsequious in the most dignified grand style; the food is classic, variations on the grand Escoffier tradition. A treat well worth the expense.It's a mystery why they've not been able to maintain the Michelin star they had in the last decade. I've been eating here for many years now and they seem to have assured diners consistant quality over the years.

Delicious meal in a tastefully decorated dining-room,it is the perfect place for a special occasion or just to enjoy gourmet food in a beautiful setting.The owners are very friendly and professional paying attention to detail and we were made welcome.A very good address to recommend.

Have been going to Tastevin for over twenty years. Wonderful under the old ownership-better under the new owners. Classic French fare. Great wine list. Attentive staff. Attractive decor. Worth the effort to go for lunch or dinner.

Delicious food and wines in beautiful surroundings. The weather was good so we were able to dine outside.
