Le P'tit Garonnais

Looking for a place to have lunch with a couple of French friends we just happened on this little restaurant in the small village of Monheurt. Situated right alongside the bank of the Garonne river, the view from the restaurant windows is one to die for. Run by a very friendly couple with a warm welcome, the food is French regional home cooking but of a very good quality. Service impeccable, and what value for money it is. Aperitifs, three course meal, bottle of good wine and coffee all for 25 euros a head! The cycle path alongside the canal du Garonne is only 5 minutes away and I would strongly recommend that anyone in the vicinity try to pay a visit. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Weekday lunch and supper is a fixed menu and weekends is a choice between fixed menu and a la carte.

Spent a lovely evening here on the banks of the Garonne. Though we had not reserved a table and they were fully booked the waitress managed to find us a table. We sat outside and really enjoyed the evening , the band were excellent .
