Le Provencal - Reservar uma mesa

We stayed in a local hotel which unfortunaly was not serving food for some unknown reason. Nevertheless, they directed us and other guests up to Le Provençal. It was only a short walk and in fact we were so pleased. Le Provençal is attached to the Confort Hotel (but I think run independently). We had a very friendly greeting and very attentive service from the manager. The food was very good a the lovely thing was that the manager told us we could have any combination of food we wanted 'anything possible '. We did have a lovely choice of starters from the buffet (very fresh) followed by the fish with rice (we laughed as the French family next to us insisted on fish and chips). It is not a big menu but there should be something for most people. Nice cosy atmosphere and an enjoyable experience.

Having driven a long distance and staying at the hotel, we had decided to eat in the restaurant. However France was suffering torrential rain and severe flooding, this caused a very disruptive city-wide power cut. Luckily for us the buffet starters table was well stocked and had just been set out, as had the dessert selection. Our meal therefore comprised of a several course salad with assortments of fish, chicken and meats, followed by a huge black forest gateau, which I have never eaten for over 30 years and fully enjoyed the re-experience. The candle-lit meal was average as you would expect in the no electric circumstances, but the company was excellent. The staff coped admirably and were to be commended. Will both stay and eat here again hopefully with electricity.

Had not planned to eat here but So pleased we did. Fresh food we chose the 2 course menu. Salad buffet amazing such good choice. Then ordered the beef and a chicken dish from menu of the day. Very very nice . Regulars turned up to eat here too. So you know that's always good. Great service. Merci Beaucoup.
