Le Paradis Blanc

What a great find in the town of Les Saisies. It is situated above some shops and not the easiest to see but you should look for it as it is well worthwhile. We wanted to eat early on our first night in Les Saisies as we had been up very early and travelled most of the day and were very tired. We were refused by two restaurants before we were greeted by the owner who couldn't have been more helpful. The food was delicious and we ended up coming back here for 4 out of our seven nights. The atmosphere that both him, his daughter and all the staff created in the restaurant was so welcoming and friendly and they couldn't do enough for us. I think this is so important, however the food was also very freshly cooked and very well presented. I think this is a little diamond of a restaurant in Les Saises and well worth at least one visit during your stay.

We visited for lunch on a misty Monday in July when the cloud was too low to go walking in the mountains. Lovely welcome and great service. We shared a 'Chapeau Savoyard', a cross between a fondue and a raclette where you cook your own meats at the table on a fiendishly hot burner. Son had a five cheese pizza which he rated the best pizza he had ever eaten. Nice desserts, great coffee and a free liqueur at the end. Can't fault it, would certainly go back.

We have been coming now to les saises for the last fifteen years . We have always found this restaurant to be a little gem . The food tastes delicious and is cooked to perfection . We never leave dissatisfied. There is a very warm welcome on your arrival and nothing is too much trouble . We hope to be visiting in 8 weeks time when we return for the skiing season .
